Existing GTX Corp Distributor of GPS SmartSoles for Denmark Expands into Norway

Safecall distributor signs exclusive distribution agreement for Denmark and Norway

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA –October 13, 2016 – GTX Corp (OTCBB: GTXO), an IoT platform in the personal location GPS wearable and wandering assistive technology business, announced existing Demark distributor Safecall expanded their operations into Norway and signed an exclusive distribution agreement for both countries. Safecall first launched the GPS SmartSoles in Denmark last October. Due to an increase in product demand and the recent Dementia Plan 2020 announcement by the Norwegian government, it has expand distribution into Norway and locked up exclusive rights. Safecall has already placed a blanket order of GPS SmartSoles for the remaining of the year for both Denmark and Norway and will be submitting another order to cover the first half of 2017 by end of next month.

Tommy Rasmussen, Director of Safecall Denmark ApS, said, “We are excited to expand upon the growing success we have been experiencing with the GPS SmartSole in Denmark and enter into a broader agreement with GTX Corp for Norway. Based upon the strong demand and reaction that we have received from the market and equally strong interest from the government and municipalities, we are confident that the product will have continued and growing success.”

The Norwegian government launched its Norway’s Dementia plan 2020 which provides the framework for further cooperation between state, municipalities and voluntary sector so that people with dementia can live better lives. Minister of Health, Bent Hoie, commented, “We want to enable people living with dementia to participate more actively in society.”

A survey on using GPS technology was completed and published in 2015.  Of the 200 dementia sufferers in Norway, the survey revealed that almost all experience greater peace of mind and increased levels of physical activity using GPS devices. The study forms part of the public sector innovation projects collectively known as “Trygge Spor og SamSpill (safe tracking and interaction).” The initial project began with five municipalities and 50 dementia sufferers and in 2015 it was expanded to include 18 municipalities. More or less all respondents to the survey (next of kin, GPS users, health service providers and staff at out-patient clinics and nursing homes), say that the GPS device gives them greater peace of mind. Staff at clinics and homes experience fewer conflicts and waste less time and effort in redirecting patients and keeping order on the wards. Moreover, the technology can result in financial savings in cases where sufferers are able to live for longer at home or can reside in open, as opposed to secure, nursing home wards.

As part of the plan, municipalities will be able to apply for the following grants:

  • Day activity services for people with dementia living at home under a special grant scheme administered by the Norwegian Directorate of Health;
  • Building or modernizing nursing homes and assisted living facilities with 24-hour care to take account of the needs of people with dementia and cognitive impairment through a special investment grant scheme offered by the Norwegian State Housing Bank. The design of all new buildings and modernization projects must take account of the needs of people with dementia.

Andrew Duncan, head of International Business Development for GTX Corp., stated, “We have been extremely pleased by the progress Safecall has demonstrated this past year, so when they approached us to start selling and marketing to the municipalities in Norway we immediately began negotiations granting them exclusive rights. We fully expect Safecall to hit the ground running, given the high demand and proactive measures being taken by the Norwegian government to introduce GPS-based solutions to approximately 80,000 people afflicted with dementia in Norway.”

In 2012, Alzheimer Europe estimated the number of people with dementia in Norway at 77,158. This represented 1.56 % of the total population of 4,960,482. The number of people with dementia as a percentage of the population is similar to other European countries with an average of 1.55% and in the U.S. with a slightly higher average of 1.66%.

GTX Corp’s patented GPS SmartSoles are the world’s first wearable yet invisible tracking recovery technology that are placed in the wearer’s shoes and contain a GPS chip connected through a global cellular network that sends a signal to a central monitoring website or app showing the exact location of the individual wearing the SmartSoles. They are water resistant, come in several trim to fit sizes for both men and women, are made with the highest quality electronic components and assembled in Rhode Island, U.S.A.

The simplicity behind the SmartSole Platform is that when someone wanders off, becomes lost or abducted, a text or email alert is sent to a caregiver’s phone and computer with a direct link to a Google map plotting the location. Alerts can be directed to a local authority and/or a private call center to provide continuous monitoring and support.

GTX Corp Reports Second Quarter 2016 Financial Results

Increased Revenues, Margins, Subscribers, Channel Partners and new IP Revenue Stream

LOS ANGELES, CA – August  16, 2016 – GTX Corp. (OTCQB: GTXO), an IoT platform and leading provider of personal location GPS wearable technology and wandering assistive technology, announced financial results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2016.

Second Quarter Highlights

  • Revenue increased 36% over 2015 comparable period
  • Subscriber revenue increased 133% over 2015 comparable period
  • Gross profit margin increased from 27% to 45% over 2015 comparable period
  • Operating expenses decreased 17% over 2015 comparable period
  • Net operating losses decreased 34% over 2015 comparable period
  • Active units in the field and subscribers in over 35 countries
  • Vendor number for reimbursement in six states
  • Shipped next version 1.25 GPS SmartSole
  • Began monetizing our Comm Protocol “286” family patents
  • Received our first military test order
  • Signed research collaboration agreement with George Mason University
  • Named 25 most empowering IoT companies in 2016

Q2 Initiatives included adding new customers and subscribers – creating a new revenue stream by monetizing intellectual property assets – increasing overall margins through cost reductions and better operational efficiency.

Two new master distributors were added, one in the U.S. and the other in the UK, both of which have dozens of salespeople and resellers operating under their management. This is important to note because it will allow GTX to scale distribution in certain vertical markets or territories without adding significant overhead and operation costs.

The Company also received its first military test order for a new non-cellular, encrypted GPS technology.  The proposed solution is a battery powered, broadcast only GPS tracker using RF technology (900MHz ISM bandwidth), with a nine mile line of site (LOS) range. Both the hardware and software of this new product will be designed and manufactured in house by GTX. Prototypes are expected to be completed and shipped by next month and if the test order is successful, this product has the potential to open up new opportunities within the government sector or commercial installations that have poor or no cell coverage. In addition the Company received several new vendor numbers for GPS SmartSole medical assisted reimbursement and is now operational with these codes in six states: Wisconsin, Ohio, New York, California, Illinois and Maine.

On the production front 500 units of version 1.25 GPS modules were prepped for manufacturing into SmartSoles, making this the second production run with several enhancements and an embedded Telefonica SIM card. This version allows GTX Corp to ship SmartSoles internationally and activate the SIM card remotely from its cloud based platform. This is a significant advancement because the Company no longer needs to custom make SmartSoles for international distributors with their own SIM cards, instead international customers can order right out of inventory.

The benefits include reduced manufacturing costs, improve delivery timelines and enable GTX to bill for international data charges increasing RPS (revenue per subscriber) which is continuing to trend up with subscriber revenue up 133% adding to an overall gross margin increase from 27% to 45%.

During Q2 2016 the Company also signed a definitive licensing agreement with Inventergy Innovations, LLC, a subsidiary of Inventergy Global, Inc. (NASDAQ: INVT). Inventergy is spearheading a monetization campaign for three of GTX’s “286” family of patents and will negotiate either a license for use or a sale of the patents to potential infringers that operate in the mobile tracking and monitoring industry. These three GTX patents are not limited to any particular form factor and are applicable to any generic mobile tracking device utilizing this technology which is embedded in millions of wearable and mobile devices and deployed across numerous industries.

The mobile health and wellness market which GTX pioneered is on the cusp of a significant stride forward. Thanks to modern wearable technologies that provide the means to collect and manage health and wellness data in a more convenient and automated fashion, wearables have emerged for fitness tracking, medical condition management, wellness monitoring, and personal safety assistance, among other use cases. This represents a sizable addressable market and creates multiple licensing opportunities with a potential value for the GTX Comm Protocol “286” patents that far extend beyond the other core GTX footwear patents and into areas such as:

  • GPS watches
  • Fitness wearables that track location
  • Hand-held GPS devices
  • Tracking apps on Smartphones
  • Standalone GPS tracking devices
  • Location based platforms in general

Patrick Bertagna, GTX Corp CEO, stated, “As an emerging technology company, we are always pushing for better, and by most metrics Q2 improved with trends showing more revenues, new revenues, higher margins, lower expenses and lower losses. As we move forward into the second half of 2016 we expect these trends to hold but we are also cognisant of our ebb and flow, as we saw in Q1 while we were transitioning to our next version 1.25 SmartSole, implementing a new connectivity platform and crafting our IP monetization strategy. Lack of sufficient capital for inventory, human resources and infrastructure has been a challenge since our launch last year. It has limited our ability to order appropriate inventory thereby limiting our ability to grow as quickly as we would like. It has also limited our ability to hire additional personnel to support growth. We believe that our increased margins and revenues, along with the new monetization IP campaign, will begin to ease our capital shortage problem.”

Bertagna continued, “Having said that, we remain focused on building brand and product awareness on a global scale, growing our channels of distribution and increasing sales, subscription revenues and margins in all our product categories. Looking ahead in 2016, we will work closely with our distributors and new partner Inventergy to explore new revenue opportunities, work with our vendors to scale our manufacturing processes in order to lower costs, reach out to broader market segments such as adults with autism, the security and military market, work with police departments, insurance providers, non-profits, University’s and continue applying for additional medical reimbursement codes. All of this with one goal in mind – to increase our revenues, global subscriber base and build a best in class IoT platform for the millions of people all over the world who need a simple, affordable and effective tracking and monitoring solution.”

Both companies previously announced their letter of intent on May 10, 2016 and as part of the final agreement, Inventergy will have exclusive rights to license or sell three GTX patents – US 8,154,401, US 8,760,286, and US 9,219,978, commonly referred to as the “Comm. This is a major turning point and significant milestone for GTX Corp. It validates our IP strategy and our ability to quickly execute on a monetization path to fuel our growth by leveraging our largest asset. We expect this IP deal to be the first of more to come in the future as we start exploring other monetization strategies with some of the other patents in our portfolio. GTX Corp Signs Research Collaboration Agreement with George Mason University’s College of Health and Human Services

GTX Corp Makes the list of 25 Most Empowering IoT Companies in 2016

Los Angeles, Calif. – June 29, 2016– GTX Corp (OTCBB: GTXO), an IoT platform in the personal location wearable and wandering assistive technology business, announced today the signing of a collaboration agreement with George Mason University’s College of Health and Human Services. In collaboration with investigators from the Milken Institute School of Public Health at the George Washington University, who have expertise in the economics of disease management and mobile health technologies, the University will utilize GTX technology and data in order to study wandering habits in elderly people with Alzheimer’s and dementia. The initial project will begin in early fall 2016 and is expected to last 1 year, and if successful, will be followed up with a large scale project planned for another 2-3 years.

The goal of the project is to investigate the possibility of using GPS data collected by GTX’s SmartSole for predicting wandering patterns of elderly people with Alzheimer’s and dementia. If successful, the project will result in a set of models capable of predicting a general area or direction in which a given patient is most likely to go when becoming disoriented and/or wandering. The project will be an objective methodical study and is intended to be published in a peer-reviewed journal. The created preliminary models will be made available to GTX Corp, which will consider deploying the prediction algorithms into their backend monitoring platform, adding another layer of technology and overall value to the platform and monitoring services provided by GTX Corp.

“GTX’s SmartSole technology opens up the possibility of analyzing data that previously did not exist and creates new avenues to research wandering behaviors in people with Alzheimer’s and dementia,” said Janusz Wojtusiak, PhD, associate professor of health informatics at Mason. “GTX’s technology combined with Mason’s advanced data analytic methods could lead to breakthroughs in the field.”

GTX Corp – keeping you connected to who matters most, was also featured in Enterprise Magazine as one of 25 most empowering IoT companies of 2016.

GTX offers a complete end-to-end solution of hardware, software and connectivity. The Company develops 2 way GPS tracking technologies which seamlessly integrate with consumer products and enterprise applications. GTX Corp utilizes the latest in miniaturized, low power consumption GPS, Cellular and BLE technology and offers a proprietary platform that enables subscribers to track in real time the whereabouts of people or high valued assets through a complete end to end – customizable transceiver module, wireless connectivity gateway, smart phone Apps, middleware, and IoT portal.

Headquartered in Los Angeles, California, with distributors in 14 countries and customers in over 35 countries, GTX is known for its award-winning patented GPS SmartSole®– Think Dr. Scholl’s meets LoJack, the world’s first invisible wearable technology device created for those at risk of wandering due to Alzheimer’s, dementia, autism and traumatic brain injury.Currently there are 100 million people worldwide who are part of this at risk wandering group and that number is expected to reach 277 million by 2050.

The GPS SmartSoles are a wearable tracking and monitoring device that communicates the location of the wearer without user intervention. The GPS Smart Insole is a communication platform that can support location based services and bio-medical sensors; sending location and movement and in the near future will include vital signs and bio-metrics, such as heart rate, pulse, weight and temperature along with latitude, longitude, altitude, bearing and speed.

The simplicity behind the SmartSole Platform is that when someone wanders off or becomes lost, a geo-fence alert is sent to a phone and computer, with a direct link to a map plotting the wanderer’s location.

Innovative wearables that are user-friendly and unobtrusive offer efficient care, while reducing costs and stress. These wearable medical devices are “connected” devices, with features such as wireless data transmission, real-time feedback, alerting mechanism, and more. The miniaturization of wireless communication and sensor technology, combined with more power efficiency and greater computation capabilities, all of which GTX Corp has been at the forefront both in technical development and patent filings, has enabled the shift of clinical monitoring beyond facilities to personal at home care giving. Wearable medical devices will also become helpful to pharmaceutical companies for conducting efficient clinical trials to gather data remotely, and for insurers to provide outcome-based reimbursement.

The novel and award winning idea of putting GPS tracking devices inside shoes to monitor the elderly with dementia is rapidly expanding into a whole lot more. As we looking forward we will continue to leverage our footwear form factor and extensive intellectual property portfolio and add new sensors and technologies to our platform in order to deliver the best in class products and services in the IoT and wearable technology industry.

GTX Corp is in the business of keeping you connected to who matters most with award winning technologies that impact how you ask the “where is” question: where is my mother, child, husband or employee.

GTX Corp Expands Distribution in the U.K.

telmenow.com added to the

GPS SmartSole Growing list of International Distributors

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA –May 18, 2015 – GTX Corp (OTCBB: GTXO), an IoT platform in the personal location GPS wearable and wandering assistive technology business, announced the commercial launch of the GPS SmartSole with telmenow.com in the UK, an on-line healthcare technology specialist supplying a range of products and services to help the elderly live independently in their own homes.

“We are excited to be launching the GPS SmartSole”, said Mike Handford, Supplier Support Manager, “we believe that the product’s unique, discreet and comfortable qualities will make it an invaluable part of the GPS tracking technologies that we currently offer our customers”.

The UK is a significant market for GTX, with approximately 850,000 people afflicted with dementia today and that number is expected to grow to 1 million by 2025. Two thirds of them are women and over 60,000 deaths are attributed annually to dementia.

With this large and growing market sector, telmenow.com  has seen a dramatic increase in growth over the last year and is now one of the top on line sites in its category in Europe with over 60,000 monthly website visitors offering them products that include personal or home safety devices – such as GPS tracking devices and nuisance call blockers – as well as solutions designed specifically to assist sufferers of specific medical conditions, including dementia day clocks, epilepsy smartwatches and blood glucose meters.

Andrew Duncan, GTX Corp Director of Business Development commented, “We are extremely pleased to be launching our product on the telmenow.com platform which has tremendous reach into the consumer market, as well as the public sector through their business to business operations.  Due to the continued strong interest in our patented wandering assistive technology, and the positive reaction we are receiving for the GPS SmartSole, we plan to invest more resources into the UK and local partners which are supported by our distribution center in Dublin. We expect to see a lot more coming out of this market and other countries in northern Europe in the near future.”

Since entering the United Kingdom late last year, GTX has expanded its distribution channels for the GPS SmartSole. The Company has partnered with large national companies like NRS Health Care Services, which supplies products and services to the National Health Service and has a number of trials underway with local health authorities and home care centers.

Nelson Skip Riddle, GTX’s UK healthtech advisor stated, “We are starting to see an increasing interest for the GPS SmartSoles amongst the various parties involved in caring for seniors with memory disorders as well as autistic children. From  occupational therapists working within the NHS, to home care health specialists and local police authorities, the  UK is on the cutting edge of health care innovations and telemedicine technology. Now, UK healthcare providers are embracing the GPS SmartSole as an innovative and cost-effective solution that is enabling individual safety and mobility.”

GTX Corp’s patented GPS SmartSoles®, which were featured in AARP’s 2015 technology gear guide are a stigma free, safety and security unobtrusive monitoring and tracking solution for those who suffer from Alzheimer’s, dementia, autism, TBI and other memory disorders and have a tendency to wander. They are placed in the wearer’s shoes and contain a miniaturized GPS tracking chip connected through a cellular network that sends a signal to the GTX Corp monitoring portal or app, showing the exact location of the individual wearing the SmartSoles. They come in several trim to fit sizes for both men and women, are water resistant, made with the highest quality electronic components and assembled in Rhode Island, U.S.A.

The simplicity behind the SmartSole Platform is that when someone wanders off or becomes lost, a text or email alert is sent to a caregiver’s phone and computer, with a direct link to a map plotting the wanderer’s location.

Inventergy will be spearheading the monetization campaign, with a proposed revenue share on all future licensing royalties or possible sale of the portfolio.  Inventergy will begin making initial payments to GTX upon closing and quarterly pre-payments starting in Q1 2017.  Inventergy will also be financing and managing the ongoing maintenance of the Comm Protocol patents in collaboration with GTX and will continue to file ongoing claims, exploiting the open continuation status of the portfolio.  GTX will provide assistance on the ongoing filings under a consulting agreement in which GTX in will be paid shares of INVT common stock.

Andrew Duncan, head of IP strategy and business development at GTX Corp said, “We believe that the Comm Protocol Family of patents are essential for any company actively involved in the U.S. with handheld devices and technologies that incorporate 2 way GPS tracking. Dr. Sankey commented, “GTX Corp has one of the most strategic Patent portfolios I have seen in the intersection of wearable technologies and personal wireless location based services.  Tremendous value can be generated from the partnership between INVT and GTX Corp and I’m excited to bring expertise to help unleash the full potential of the GTX portfolio.”

Patrick Bertagna, GTX Corp Chairman and CEO concluded, “Being at the forefront of this industry we have been filing patents since 2002, including these communication protocols which we filed back in 2008 when Apple hadn’t even launched its first iPhone yet. Today GPS is in millions of devices and has become ubiquitous. After months of due diligence in looking for the right strategic partner to help us maximize IP revenues and monetize this treasure trove of patents, we are very excited to have partnered with Inventergy and to have Dr. Sankey join our team.
