November is National Alzheimer’s Awareness Month

In 1983, President Ronald Reagan designated November as National Alzheimer’s Awareness Month stating, “The fight against Alzheimer’s disease needs many allies. I salute the many Americans who are working for increased public awareness of this baffling disorder and the scientists whose research holds the promise of hope.”

A little over ten years later he would announce his own affliction with Alzheimer’s and note, “Unfortunately, as Alzheimer’s disease progresses, the family often bears a heavy burden.”

November is also Family Caregivers Month, helping to shine a light on the amazing efforts more than 65 million Americans provide every year as unpaid caregivers.

In recognition and support of this work , we at GTX Corp invite you to join us in taking the next 4 weeks to spread the word and help raise awareness for Alzheimer’s and Family Caregivers. Join us on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and Pinterest as we share facts, tips, quotes and more about Alzheimer’s and Caregivers. Be sure to use the hashtags #endalz, #gopurple and #GPSSmartsole to spread the word and raise awareness.

GTX Corp Announces Starting Commercial Production of GPS SmartSoles

Initial Q1 2015 Delivery of SmartSoles Already Sold Out

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA – OCTOBER 30, 2014 – GTX Corp. (OTCBB: GTXO), a pioneer and global provider of personal location wearable technologies, is pleased to announce that it has officially entered the volume production cycle for its GPS SmartSoles, with expected first delivery in late December. The GPS SmartSoles are being manufactured in partnership with Atlantic Footcare, Inc., a leading designer and manufacturer of orthotic insoles for over 20 years and strategic partner of the Company.

“We have hit a true tipping point with this initial production run of our patented GPS SmartSoles,” commented Patrick Bertagna, CEO of GTX Corp.  “All of the units in the first delivery are already spoken for with our current backlog and demand, from high profile pilot programs to actual orders we have received in the recent months. Shipping these units in the field starts to build upon our channel partner pipeline and recurring revenue base of installed units, and more importantly allows us to start shipping production units to our potential large accounts transitioning out of their pilots into a commercial status. We have put into production a 4 month rolling forecast expecting delivery of the first units to arrive and be deployed by late Q4 2014 throughout Q1 2015.”

“We have been extremely pleased from the high quality standards implemented by our manufacturing partners, which use the highest quality and most advanced GPS and Cellular electronics, designed and assembled in Germany, before being manufactured into insoles in Rhode island”, commented Andrew Duncan, Director at GTX and Head of Product and Business Development . “Our decade plus experience in the wearable GPS market and close ties and heritage to the technology and footwear industry have allowed us to develop, patent, manufacture and bring to market a state of the art product, garnering worldwide attention, in a short period of time.”

The GPS SmartSole features a miniaturized GPS and cellular tracking chip embedded in a comfortable, cut to fit, water resistant insole, providing the ability to track persons of interest remotely from any computer, tablet or smartphone.  The GPS SmartSole is powered by an inductive charging rechargeable battery that lasts 3-5 days on a single charge.

“The interest and demand for our GPS and BLE SmartSole products increases every week,” continued Mr. Bertagna. “From the media buzz to assisted living facilities, police departments, security agencies and caregivers of those afflicted with Alzheimer’s, Autism and TBI are stepping up to be the first users of the SmartSoles. The recent current events have also sparked interest from the UN to track health workers in West Africa along with support staff and journalists in the Middle East. This is truly exciting times for GTX and we are ready to commercially bring this product to market.”

GTX Corp Enters Security Market with Patented GPS SmartSole™

Jack Brewer articulates the power of GPS SmartSoles providing a real sense of security in today’s uncertain world.

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA AND MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA – SEPTEMBER 23, 2014 – GTX Corp. (OTCBB: GTXO), a pioneer and global provider of personal location wearable technologies, will break into the personal security market this week with its patented GPS SmartSole™. The ingenious SmartSole tracking system, originally created for people at risk of wandering due to cognitive memory disorders such as Alzheimer’s, dementia, autism, TBI and more will now help protect journalists, diplomats, ambassadors, avid business travelers and other high-profile individuals who travel to dangerous or remote regions of the world by keeping their loved ones and co-workers updated on their whereabouts, no matter where they go.

The dangers that members of the media and international professionals face overseas has never been more clear, especially in light of recent unfortunate events. GTX Corp knows their innovative SmartSoles can provide a much-needed solution to these rising security concerns. The GPS-equipped shoe insoles provide wearers an extra opportunity to let their associates and loved ones know they’re safe through GPS and cellular monitoring technology—and provide users a chance to act fast in response should the unthinkable happen.

The GPS SmartSoles’ miniaturized proprietary GPS/cellular chipset and SIM card is unique to each wearer. The GPS SmartSoles communicate via cellular networks and send location coordinates through a wireless data connection, similar to sending SMS messages on a cell phone. This system creates a safety net of unprecedented reliability for its users.

GTX Corp encourages you to check out their new testimonial video, created in partnership with The Brewer Group, Inc. (TBG), a global advisory firm, as it begins promoting the GPS SmartSoles for the personal security market. His Excellency Ambassador Jack Brewer, CEO of TBG and SmartSole brand advocate, goes on record with his personal views on the importance of feeling secure during business travels. Together, GTX and TBG will propel the SmartSole technology to the forefront of the security market, forming new strategic partnerships and securing endorsement deals within TBG’s extensive network which will highlight and enhance global awareness of the SmartSoles’ and their security benefits.

Patrick Bertagna, Chairman and CEO of GTX Corp commented, “First we want to thank Jack and his team for helping us create awareness in this new vertical application for the SmartSoles. We believe the personal security market has big potential, especially in light of all that is happening in the world with journalists, high profile individuals and international travelers. Heightened security has become top of mind as global uncertainty grows. In the event of the unthinkable happening, time is your best hope, so knowing in near real-time if someone has gone missing maximizes their chance of a safe recovery. Our GPS SmartSoles were originally created to monitor the whereabouts of individuals at risk of wandering with the intent to quickly and safely recover them.  The security market is a direct extension of our core purpose, providing a seamless solution for a newly at risk audience of being at the wrong place at the wrong time.”

GPS SmartSoles™ Expand into Canada

Safe Tracks GPS Canada, Inc. Places First Commercial Order

Los Angeles, September 3, 2014 – GTX Corp (OTCBB: GTXO), a pioneer and global provider of personal location wearable technologies, is pleased to announce the receipt of a volume purchase order for its flagship GPS and BLE SmartSole line of products from Canadian distributor Safe Tracks GPS Canada , Inc. (“Safe Tracks”), a GPS electronic monitoring and safety solution provider across Canada.

After four months of testing the patented GPS tracking “SmartSole” will become commercially available in Canada next month through Safe Track’s e-commerce Website, www.safetracksgps.ca and Canada’s largest GSM cell phone provider, with over 9.2 million users servicing 95% of Canada’s population, will be the Canadian wireless data provider.

“During our testing period, SafeTracks GPS Canada has received an abundance of inquiries in regards to the release of the GPS SmartSoles in Canada. In preparation for the launch we recently completed a series of television interviews which began airing last week, along with other media venues in the Greater Toronto Area. The feedback so far indicates the GPS SmartSoles will be the monitoring wearable technology to make a difference for many caregivers. Current pilot projects of the GPS SmartSoles have yielded spectacular results and we are looking forward to the official launch in October,” quotes Bob Aloisio, Vice President of SafeTracks GPS Canada.

According to the Alzheimer’s Society in Toronto, an estimated 500,000 Canadians have Alzheimer’s disease or a related dementia condition, and within a generation, that number will more than double, ranging between 1 and 1.3 million people. The impact of Alzheimer’s and related dementias involves the sufferer’s entire family, and thus affects far more than the half million people who have been actually diagnosed with the disease. Alzheimer’s disease is the second most feared disease for Canadians as they age.

The patented GTX Corp wearable technology enables wearers to be monitored remotely, there by helping to ensure their safety and freedom, providing peace of mind to their caregivers, and reducing the cost of more frequent human oversight due to wandering. The GPS SmartSoles are embedded with a miniaturized proprietary integrated GPS / Cellular chipset and SIM card that is unique to each wearer.  The GPS SmartSoles will communicate via Roger’s Canada cellular network, and send location coordinates via a wireless data connection, similar to sending SMS messages on a cell phone. If the wearer wanders outside of a pre-set location determined by the caregiver, an SMS or e -mail message will alert the caregiver instantly.

“The GPS SmartSoles allow you to care when you can’t be there. Other devices are either too complicated or tend to be left behind or even rejected by the Alzheimer’s and Dementia sufferers, but the SmartSoles are more friendly and a more reliable means of keeping track of those who wander, because of the likely hood that they will be on the wanders feet when they elope. As a result, Alzheimer’s sufferers who simply wear their shoes are receiving better care and enjoying a more flexible lifestyle and quality of life, while caregivers keep the cost of supervision required, reduced to as little as a dollar a day,” stated Andrew Duncan, GTX Corp’s head of International Sales.”

GTX Corp Comments on Q2 Performance and Outlook

Los Angeles, Calif. – August 14, 2014 – GTX Corp (OTCQB: GTXO), a pioneer in personal location wearable technologies, announced today commentary on its second quarter performance, along with the outlook for the balance of 2014.

Q2 2014 Highlights:

  • Launched pilot program for GPS & BLE SmartSoles with 30 active and pending programs in 12 countries
  • Accepted orders for close to 1,000 GPS and BLE SmartSoles
  • Launched 2 products on Amazon
  • Continued penetration of products into new Drone vertical with over 300 units shipped
  • Integrated wireless inductive charging in embedded and stand-alone products
  • Strengthened intellectual property portfolio with key patent “286” addition
  • Featured in WSJ, CNN, BBC, FOX News, Business Journals and several others media outlets.

“As we discussed in our last shareholder update, GTX continues its transition from the licensed GPS Shoe model to the direct product to user model and is focusing its efforts on product development and channel partner distribution,” commented Patrick Bertagna, Chief Executive Officer of GTX Corp. “As we begin finalizing our product development phase and get closer to a commercial launch we are starting to ramp up our marketing initiatives through – trade shows, social media campaigns, recent press and our existing global relationships, and have been successfully enrolling potential partners into our Pilot Programs. We are currently managing 10 – 15 inquiries per week and plan to enroll up to 100 pilots. We are working closely with select groups ranging from assisted living communities, health organizations, Int’l distributors, domestic resellers and sales organizations, advocacy groups and high profile influencers in the sports, media, academia, security, government, municipal and philanthropic organizations that we believe have the potential to result in large scale deployments in the future.”

Mr. Bertagna continued, “In addition to our product and business development activities, we have also made significant strides in enhancing the value of our IP portfolio, through the issuance of our latest patent, which we refer to as our ‘286 Patent’.  The 286 Patent is significant and a possible game changer as it covers communication protocols across a broad range of wearable devices with respect to how they store and transmit data.  Even more significant is the priority date granted, which dates back to early 2008, providing us with significant intellectual property protection and potential for monetization.”

“The Company has developed and introduced to the market place a robust line of GPS, Cellular and BLE monitoring and tracking technology across 3 product lines – embedded, all purpose, and digital – all 3 come with different monthly subscription plans ranging from $2.00 to $30 per month and all 3 are currently being sold into the market place. As our channels of distribution for these 3 product lines start to convert from pilots or soft launch to full commercial rollouts, the Company should start realizing an increase in unit and App sales and related monthly recurring service fees.  As we move into the back end of the year, we remain confident in our direct product to user approach and appreciate the support we have received from the industry, our partners and our shareholders alike.”

Continued efforts will include further promotion of GTX’s cutting edge GPS SmartSoles product line surrounding the upcoming official product launch and its inclusion in TBG’s Coalition for Concussion Treatment (#C4CT) campaign held at the United Nations.

The #C4CT Concussion Awareness Summit is being convened at the U.N. to explore the potential link between TBI and Alzheimer’s disease. GTX management will join a diverse working group of clinicians, medical researchers, policy makers, international diplomats, athletes, celebrities, and philanthropic organizations to raise awareness, advance clinical research, and develop public policy in order to address this major unmet medical need and public health issue.

In particular, GTX’s association with the #C4CT movement has brought GTX technologies to the attention of victims of traumatic brain injury (TBI) and/or Alzheimer’s disease, members of professional sports leagues, public and private corporations and international organizations focusing on health and wellness. Since February 2013, The Brewer Group has provided ongoing business development and marketing support as well as successfully utilized its extensive network to allow GTX to identify, attract and ally with like-minded companies and organizations, enhancing global exposure of GTX’s groundbreaking products.

GTX Corp Granted Broad Communication Protocol Patent

In New Era of “Wearable Tech”

U.S. patent No. 8,760,286 Reinforces the Value of the GTX IP Portfolio and Strengthens its Position in a Rapidly Growing Multi Billion Dollar Market

Los Angeles, Calif. – July 8, 2014 – GTX Corp. (OTCQB: GTXO), a leading provider of personal location wearable technologies, was granted another U.S. patent related to its location based monitoring platform. The recently issued U.S. patent No. 8,760,286 (the ‘286 patent) is a significant addition to the existing family of communication protocol patents and to GTX Corp’s overall patent portfolio. GTX delivers solutions to a growing global audience of over 100 million people with cognitive memory disorders, including Alzheimer’s, dementia, Autism and Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBI) and has been building its intellectual property portfolio of Patents, Trademarks and URL’s since 2002.

–        The inventions of the ‘286 patent and its 36 claims generally cover the transmission of location data from a tracking device, of any kind, to a server, in the event that the tracking device is at some point in time unable to connect to the server and consequently has to store the location data until it is again able to establish a communication link. This feature preserves the “bread crumb trail” even when the device goes temporarily out of communication range.  The inventions also enable the remote modification of how frequently a tracking device buffers location data when the device is unable to communicate with the server.

–    The patent is not just restricted to footwear but has far broader implications, effecting ANY tracking device from embedded devises as in the case of the GPS SmartSole™ or GPS watch for example to the ubiquitous stand alone, hand held devices.

–    Patent ‘286 is part of a family of patents that GTX has filed over the years related to communication protocols with priority filing dates going back to February 8, 2008. In addition the company continues to exercise its ability to file additional patents around inventions related to the same area of core GPS functionality with the same early priority date; allowing the significance and importance of the patent(s) to all GPS related products to expand and grow.

“This is a potentially game changing event in our intellectual property roadmap,” commented Larry E. Henneman, Jr., GTX Corp’s patent counsel. “The ‘286 patent is very significant because it is relevant to a great majority of the GPS Tracking industry. The scope of this patent extends far beyond footwear applications and into areas such as GPS watches, other Wearables, hand-helds, and tracking devices in general. The additional value of the ‘286 patent is that it is one of a family of patents, that GTX Corp continues to build and expand upon, all entitled to a priority filing date going back to early 2008.”

“Patent ‘286 is a real strong addition to our IP portfolio because it applies to our flagship products such as the GPS SmartSoles, along with perhaps other competitive  technologies which require communications to a backend platform, hence strengthening our position within the wearable tech industry,” stated Andrew Duncan GTX Corp Director and head of IP strategy.

Patrick Bertagna, CEO of GTX Corp concluded, “Recently Nokia announced its entry into the wearable tech market, joining Apple, Samsung, Google and Microsoft, which enforces the reason why GTX has been investing in IP for over a decade, long before “wearable tech” was an Industry or buzz word.” As a pioneer in this space and now watching these companies enter the market, we are pleased to have made the early investments in building a robust IP portfolio and having had excellent counsel along the way, all together increasing the overall GTX enterprise value.”
